Obi...

I've had the pleasure of using Neil's services for over 15 yerars, and I honestly couldn't recommend him more highly. During that time, he has walked and looked after both of my dogs, including Obi, providing regular walks and dog sitting in our home. The walks are always very varied, engaging and full of adventure. Neil genuinely understands dogs and knows how to make each walk stimulating and enjoyable. Neil has also been fantastic with training and reinforcing good behaviour, which has made a real difference over the years. Whenever I've been away on holiday, Neil has also taken excellent care of my cat and guinea pigs, so I know all my pets are in safe, caring hands. It's such a relief to be able to go away knowing every one of my animals is being well looked after, I know they'll be treated like part of the family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neil to anyone looking for a trustworthy, experienced and genuinely caring dog walker. ~Gemma

Lottie...

When our Cairn Terrier, Lottie, was five years old, Neil became her Dog Walker, and over the years he became so much more than that. As Lottie grew older, became less mobile and eventually lost her sight, Neil never saw her as a dog who could no longer keep up. Instead, he continually adapted his care to make sure she could still enjoy life, stimulation, and the companionship of walks. What always stood out was Neil's unwavering focus on Lottie's well-being. He took the time to understand her changing needs and was endlessly patient in finding ways to keep her involved, even when walking became more difficult. Whether that meant adjusting routes, slowing the pace, providing reassurance, or trying new approaches to help her navigate the world safely, Neil always put Lottie first. As her mobility declined and she eventually became blind, many people would've assumed her walking days were over. Neil never did. He treated her with dignity, kindness and genuine affection, helping her remain engaged and confident for as long as possible. Even when she could barely walk, he continued to provide highly personalised care, ensuring she enjoyed time outdoors and experiencing the enrichment and attention she deserved. Neil's compassion, dedication and commitment to Lottie's quality of life were exceptional. We will always be grateful for the care he gave her in her later years. For anyone looking for a dog walker who truly sees each dog as an individual and goes above and beyond for their welfare, we cannot recommend Neil highly enough. ~Penny

I highly recommend Neil as a Dog Walker. Neil is reliable and trustworthy and very knowledgeable. Neil takes the time to get to know each dog and their individual personalities. Max adores him and loves the wide variety of places they go to on their walks. He waits excitedly for Neil to arrive in the morning and comes home happy and tired. It's exactly what my dog needs! ~Suzi

Kai...

KaiRiver2_edited.jpg

Neil has been taking Kai out for the past six years, and he has been absolutely brilliant. He does far more than simply walk him, taking him swimming, on long forest-walks and introducing him to many other dogs. Kai had major surgery on his legs when he was one year old and cannot run very fast, but he is a great swimmer. Neil understood this and made swimming a regular part of his outings, which has really helped his mobility. He knows Kai extremely well and has often noticed and told us straightaway when something did not seem quite right. Most importantly, Kai absolutely loves him. He waits for Neil to arrive and is always happy to go out with him. Neil has also looked after Kai overnight many times when we have been away. We can leave knowing Kai will receive the same love, care and attention that we give him ourselves. After six years, Neil is no longer just Kai's Dog Walker; he has become part of our extended family and someone we trust completely. As we prepare to move away from Worcester, one of the things we feel saddest about is that Kai will no longer have Neil in his daily life. We honestly do not know how we will replace him and could not recommend Neil and Wilder Walkies more highly. ~Gautam & Sonia

Neil is a superb dog-walker/sitter who goes above and beyond whilst caring for our dog. He not only loves and respects dogs but is highly knowledgeable, taking the time to understand each dog's needs - behavioural and medical. Neil is totally trustworthy and very safety conscious so we know our dog is in safe hands. Neil is both firm and compassionate and all four of our dogs over the years who have been in his care adored him. We couldn't imagine entrusting the welfare of our beloved dogs with anyone else. Highly recommended for both walks and overnight stays. ~Alison & Paul

Basil...

I rescued my terrier Basil just before Covid plunged us into lockdown, so there was just the two of us for a while. On returning to work I knew I needed a Dog Walker that I felt could confidently handle an animal with a traumatic history and a singular bond with his owner. I knew Basil could possibly take the first opportunity to try and escape so I had to feel totally comfortable with the Dog Walker's experience of being responsible for the dogs in his or her care. Wilder Walkies (Neil) came recommended by a friend and I had to wait for an opening before Basil could start. Initially, I think Basil and I were both apprehensive. Myself because I worried Basil might escape and Basil because he didn't want to accept that he could enjoy any activities without me! Neil was very patient with Basil, keeping him under close supervision and slowly introducing him to his canine companions. With time, Basil's confidence in Neil grew and we are now at the point where he recognizes the arrival of Neil's car and jumps up and down with excitement. I have always felt it important for dogs to be familiar with socialisng with other dogs, of all shapes and sizes. Therefore I wanted a Walker that could walk my dog with others. From day one, Neil considered how to introduce Basil to the other dogs. He didn't allow any bullying of small dogs or aggravating of big dogs by smaller ones (namely Basil!). Neil has always been firm about not allowing any antisocial behaviour and this has improved Basil's disposition. In the hot weather the dogs get treated to swims and Basil has actually learned to fetch a stick from the water - amazing as he never does tricks! Basil loves his outings with his canine pals and there is much tail-wagging whenever they meet outside of dog walks! ~Karen

We can't recommend Neil enough! Finding someone you trust with your dog and giving them a key to your house can be a hard decision, but Lottie fell in love with Neil immediately! Neil is flexible, great at communication, and goes above and beyond. We would recommend him to everyone! ~Adam & Gareth

Neil has been our Dog Walker since 2010, and I can recommend him without reservation as someone who is reliable, conscientious, and deeply committed to the welfare of every dog in his care. Neil takes great care to consider each dog's age, needs, mobility and temperament. He walks dogs either in compatible groups or individually, depending on what is best for them, and he helps them develop confidence and social skills in a safe and thoughtful way. The dogs visit a wide variety of locations throughout the year, and mine always return happy and content after their walks. Neil's skill in introducing new members to the pack has also helped ensure that our dogs are well-behaved and sociable when we walk them ourselves. Neil has also taken courses in dog health and First Aid, and he has an excellent understanding of canine psychology and behaviour. He will always let us know about any physical or emotional health concerns that arise during walks, which gives us great confidence in the care he provides. In short, Neil is an excellent Dog Walker whose primary motivation is the welfare of the dogs in his care. I can thoroughly recommend him without hesitation! ~Paul

I have a lively lurcher and although I walk her every day, because I work full time, I was concerned she wasn't socialising enough with other dogs. She always has a brilliant time with Neil and loves all of the other dogs she gets to play with. She goes mad with excitement when Neil arrives! He runs a very reliable services and keeps in touch with lots of notice when he is on holiday. I don't know what we'd do without Wilder Walkies! ~Karl

Cassie...

Neil walked our greyhound, Cassie, for nearly five years. During that time he became Cassie's favourite person outside of the home! She could sometimes refuse to go out for a walk but was always excited when Neil arrived and enjoyed her time off the lead, often in the river, which was her favourite place! Neil always took the greatest of care with Cassie and she adored him. Neil also house sat for us and I think Cassie loved having him to stay! I can wholeheartedly recommend Neil, he is a caring dog lover and much loved by the dogs he walks. Added to which he is a genuinely lovely person! ~Lynne

Chance aka NooNoo...

Taff...

I have known Neil since 2013, when I got in touch with him about walking Taff, my rescue dog. Taff was not an easy customer, yet he went for a trial walk with Neil. They both came back alive and from that moment Neil was in Taff's circle of trust. Neil walked Taff for just under 10 years, mostly riding shotgun as was Taff's condition in this car. He adored Neil, the walks in the countryside, exploring, and loved the friends he made! You put your trust in someone to look after your bestie and Neil was always kind, caring, thoughtful, fun and put his heart into all of his doggy friends. Neil caught up with Taff towards the end of his life and though poorly, was so happy to see Neil. It's one of my favourite memories of them both. Neil loves dogs and Taff loved Neil. I wouldn't go anywhere else to have your Bestie walked!

We count ourselves lucky to have had Neil as our Dog Walker for many years. He had a wonderful relationship with Chance; rich with trust and affection from both parties. We knew that when we went on holiday our boy, and our house, were in good hands and that Chance was going to have quite a few adventures that week!
